In 2019, Edson Rafael Cardozo de Oliveira earned his PhD in physics from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (Brazil), where his research delved into semiconductor resonant tunneling diodes. His focus was on investigating the optoelectronic properties of these devices under varying external conditions, including temperature, electric field, and magnetic field. In 2020, he embarked on a postdoctoral research position in Daniel Lanzillotti-Kimura’s group at the Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies in Palaiseau, France. His current research is centered on the manipulation of acoustic phonons at the nanoscale, exploring their interactions with other excitations, such as photons and electrons, and contributing to the engineering of responsive acoustic devices.
