After three years of studying microelectronics at Xidian University in China, Chushuang Xiang participated in an exchange program and moved to France in 2018. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Université Paris-Saclay. In 2021, she did an internship studying opto-phononic structures based on semiconductor multilayers in Daniel Lanzillotti-Kimura’s group at the Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies. Following this enriching experience, she stayed in the group and started her PhD, focusing on characterizing acoustic phonon transport in opto-phononic waveguides.
